We hope that you are having a fantastic start to Golden Week! Enjoy the time with family and friends. We finished our first month of the year. It was a lot of fun getting to know new friends and starting new routines. Here is a group art project titled, "Spring". It's great to see what the kids decide to draw. Me: Is this a spring drawing? Child: No! It's a monster! Me: Awesome!

All the children enjoy the music lessons that we have each week. We sing, dance and play instruments. It's fun learning a whole range of English and Japanese songs. Do you like singing, dancing and playing music instruments?

Happy Earth Day everyone. We had a nice lesson learning about things that are good and bad for the Earth. Me: Which is better for the Earth, riding a bicycle or driving a car? Students: Riding a bicycle! Me: That's right! Cars can be dirty. Do you know how? (Trying to keep it simple for Kindergarten). One student: You can go to the car wash!

If you are celebrating, we wish you a very happy St. Patrick's Day. Have a great time with family and friends! Today, we enjoyed learning about St. Patrick and Irish culture. Everyone did so well with the craft.

Yesterday, the graduating class and friends went on the Graduation Field Trip to Kandu. It was an exciting and fun learning experience for all. The children enjoyed talking about it a lot at school and at home.

Recently, we had our Open House for parents. It gave them a chance to see some of what the children do at school. The children didn't know that behind the animal posters, their parents were watching them! Thank you for coming everyone!

Emergency drills are an important, but also very interesting time during the month. The children are now good at following the instructions. We always have a question and answer review time after the drill. The children love to answer and talk about what they did.
